| on the plane right now.... uhhh.. yeah.. it sucks... at least I have the internet though, haha... i swiped freebies from the business lounge, haha... anyway, going back to baltimore... don't want to, but I have to... I land in an hour into SF and then a 3 hour transfer... anyway.. singapore was great, as was HK and it was really good to see everyone, even though there were some notable absences.. either way though, always glad I got to go home... will update when I get back to baltimore... peace | | |
| So, seeing as I'm in Singapore, I guess it's about time I updated my xanga, especially in regards to it being a "relatively" boring/lame/uneventful summer"...
So, a recap of this past week:
I started off by heading back to where it all started, San Francisco... which, to say the least, was good ... its been six years? Something along those lines... so yeah.. a long time since I paid my old home a visit... So, while there I met up with Olivia which was amazing... we went to Haight Ashbury, chinatown, USF, Union Square and Japantown...then I attended my cousins wedding banquet, and got to meet a lot of my very large and extended family... so that was good... oh and I also dropped by stanford...I don't have pics of the wedding though, because I didn't take my camera with me, but I'll get some eventually from the rest of my family.. but for now, here are pics from me and Olivia's escapades..

After that I headed to Singapore... met up with Hunter and Amna the second night I was in... two people I also haven't seen forever... went to newton circus to get my fix of hawker food, though it was kinda frustrating since they renovated it and now I don't know where any of my old stalls are... it was good to get a Tiger, but the stingray couldve been better... I also saw Milton and Choi, as well as Marisse.. and later I should be meeting up with Shuey, Megan and everyone else who's left... so... good times

And then, I went to Hong Kong for a day trip, which is always good. Got to see my grandma, who I'm glad to say is doing great and is in excellent health and the rest of the family. Ate good food, saw more family, walked around and explored a bit. All in all, a day and a half well spent. Again, though, not too many pictures at all...

| It's my last night in Singapore, which I guess makes this entry cliche, because I pretty much post an entry everytime before I leave, but I guess I can't help myself because what else can I do? It's pretty ironic. When I first came, those 13 odd years ago, every summer and winter I wanted to leave and go back to the U.S., and now its completely been reversed... This time around has been, as always, fucking amazing. Overall, I'm just grateful that I got to come back, that I got to see the people, the places that made my years here so amazing. Its rough...I may not be coming back for a long long while... I will never have another HS year... never again...Singapore is becoming less and less familiar to me each time I come back, and I feel that sooner or later, I won't recognize it at all... there is only one Singapore to me and that Singapore has already come and gone... | | |
